Memory verse:

Teens will be given an index card each lesson with a memory verse for them to work on. I am planning on having some sort of score system and rewards. I will get back to you on that. Say your verse at youth next week. We will use the awana format; 2 helps, and say the verse before and after. Discuss:

    The Girls will be having their meeting at our house. They will be having Pizza! If you can bring some $ to help cover that it would be nice.

     The Guys will be going to Freddy's Frozen Custard (2135 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66614). It is 20 minutes away and we took longer to get through the lesson than I thought last time. Therefore, we are leaving the church at 6:30. If you want to meet us directly, be there at 7:00PM. Guys will be doing chapter 5. I Expect to get back around 8:25 PM.

VBS: (June, during Sunday evening services)

Older students will have an opportunity to help with VBS this summer. You must be approved by Mrs. Valerie Kampfer. It will be on Sunday Evenings in June.

Worlds of Fun trip: 

Here is what I'm thinking so far, let me know what you think.

Possible dates:

June Mon-16, Wed-18, Mon-23, Wed-25, Mon-30

Time: Leave at 9:30 AM get to an early lunch at (vote to to go Wendy's, Burger King, McDonalds, Arby's, Taco Bell, Subway) get to the park around 12:15 PM

Return: Leave at 6:00PM get Dinner on the way home

Cost: Ticket $37 early bird price (There is no clear cut off date for this so it would save us lots of money if we decided early when to go) $70 at the gate + Lunch money ($15 ish)+ Parking $5 per person to help cover cost for the van)+ Dinner Money ($15). Park food is expensive if they want it. I've timed it where they could eat lunch and dinner at the park as well if they wanted.

I'll send a link to the early bird tickets when we decide what day we are going.

3. When: Starts June 3rd, Tuesday Evenings 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM

4. Preparation:  I'd like to get a couple signs made for this when we get a name.

Back To School All Nighter: August 8th Check-in at 6:30 PM - Pickup at August 9th 8:00 AM

Bring lots of friends. This will likely be the fun filled finale to the "Tribes" Summer competition program. Bring two sets of clothes as there will be water games to start (try not to wear white). There will be snacks, late dinner pizza, Breakfast with donuts, and so much fun. Cost will likely be close to $20.
